Great Kitchen Design Ideas For Those Living From Payday to Payday

Sadly, one of my client’s kitchens looked the same as it did ten years ago when her and her husband bought the house. Everything was outdated, including the paint on the walls, and to be honest, she actually hate inviting her friends over to visit. She told me that she would really love to be able to renovate her kitchen, but since her full-time job has become a part-time job, money is an issue for her. What she really needed were some great kitchen design ideas that are to put it bluntly, not inexpensive but cheap, cheap, cheap! After breezing through a few magazines and watching the Home Improvement channel, she had uncovered a collection of easy on the pocket, kitchen design ideas that even Jack Benny would love.

Clean Up Your Kitchen. This is one of the simplest kitchen design ideas, and it is so cheap that it is free. Go through everything you have in your kitchen and decide if you really still want all those little appliances, pots, pans, etc. that you collected over the years. Your mother-in-law really hates you so do you really need to keep that 3D rooster picture she gave you? It has got to go. By removing useless clutter and outdated and unused kitchen equipment, you are well on your way to inexpensively renovating your kitchen.

Express Yourself Artistically and Inexpensively. Nothing makes a room feel completely renovated more than a fresh coat of paint. Repaint your kitchen walls in a shade that is completely different from your existing color. Either choose a paint that goes along with your cupboards or redecorate them to compliment the walls. Your paint and supplies should be purchased at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart offers an extensive paint collection which easily rivals the size of most paint stores. The best part of shopping at Wal-Mart though is the great value. You know your budget, as slim as it is, and Wal-Mart has quality paints at prices you can easily afford.

Accessorize Affordably. Let’s face it; you cannot afford to just go out and buy a bunch of new appliances and fancy fixtures to revamp your kitchen. After all, we are talking about cheap, kitchen design ideas here. With that in mind, here are two very important words, “Yard” and “Sale”. Your neighbor’s trash may very well be your favorite kitchen treasure. At garage sales, you can find many items that will accent your newly designed kitchen. Items such as fabric and curtains, place settings, pictures, bookshelves, vases and racks can be purchased for pennies at yard sales, yet they will give your kitchen a stylish appearance of prosperity.

The three kitchen design ideas listed above will cost you very little to execute, and there are many other low-cost ideas out there. You just need to blend your ideas with your budget. Believe it or not, the look of a hundred thousand dollar kitchen makeover can more than likely be achieved with ten thousand dollars. If you use creative, kitchen design ideas, anything is possible. Trust me; your friends will never believe how much you spent. Forget that – make them suffer and never reveal your secret kitchen design ideas.
